We've just uploaded our newest tutorial, Space Tek, Part 1. This will be an ongoing set of tutorials based on a space game. Part 1 takes you through launching the Space Shuttle on its mission to repair the Hubble Telescope. The Part 2 tutorial will be coming soon and involves fixing the Hubble. Part 3 will be landing. Then we will add more tutorials to keep making the game more complex and realistic. To see the tutorial, visit Space Tek Tutorial. You must be a member to view the tutorial. This is for advanced users.
I was reading the YoYo Games Glog about their software, GameMaker. Unfortunately, the Macintosh version of GameMaker looks to be on hold (or dead in the water). Having been involved in converting software between platforms, I was skeptical that this would be successful. Things always seem to go well at the beginning, but once the development effort moves to bug fixes, things tend to really slow down. Hopefully, they'll pick it up again.
