Tektoma Game Creation Blog Begins

Welcome: Welcome to the Tektoma Game Creation blog. We'll be keeping track of issues and events around game creation, focusing on GameMaker to start.

GameMaker Version 8: Did you know that GameMaker version 8 is in the works and will be entering beta testing 'soon', according to YoYo games. You can see a list of features at the the GameMaker Blog, a good GameMaker resource. The two features I'm most excited about are the improved image editor and the improved speed of game loading. We'll have to wait until it is released before we know all the improvements.

Macintosh Version of GameMaker: YoYo Games is working on a Macintosh version of GameMaker version 7. It is currently in beta testing and we don't have a release date, but this is great news for everyone who uses a Mac.

It is not a definite release. In my previous life as a programmer, I once helped beta test a development environment port from Mac to Windows--after many months of work, they gave up on the project. So if you are a Mac fan, don't hold your breath but definitely keep on wishing.  I know we will be! We'll post more news here when we have it.
